Imagine Italian dishes without tomatoes, or favorite pasta without ketchup as a ingredient. At some point in history I think Italian cuisine does not have tomatoes as staple food. After exploring the continent of America in Europe, we introduced a lot of food to Europe, Eurasia and Africa. This helps to change Mediterranean meals and traditional Italian cuisine (MacLennan and Zhang, 131). The main reason for Italian cuisine popular all over the world today is that most dishes are made with a small amount of ingredients. Cooking methods are easy and the recipe is healthy.

They import spices from China and other exotic foods where their boat can travel. When the Roman civilization collapsed, the majority of the food disappeared, and authentic Italian cuisine will not develop again until the Middle Ages.
