A fear of immigrants? Not my idea of being an American.

Like many Americans, I am a product of an immigrant family. My parents came to America from Syria.

Today I am an orthopedic surgeon and visited Syria many times to provide treatment to the civil war victims. I was one of the last American doctors who left Aleppo before being surrounded by the Syrian government in July 2016. However, the countries on this list do not have refugees or immigrants committing acts of terrorism in the United States.

The threat of terrorism is a reality and our borders must be safe. So why does the withdrawal of President Donald Trump is ignoring advice from diplomats, intelligence agencies, and military officials who have devoted experience to protect our security? Why is it wrong to ask our political leaders to adopt an organized and planned security approach according to the Constitution?

There are other threats to American ideals and visions, but they are internal. We should prioritize issues such as race, unemployment, health care, education and so on. The US government's remarks such as the construction of walls at the border of the United States and Mexico, destruction of the alliance, ban on refugees, and illusion of the apocalyptic war between Muslims and Christians only causes the story of both extremists . It separates us from the real problems at home and distracts them

Americans intended to believe not only what was born in the land of America, but ideals and principles of freedom, justice, equality. It means becoming part of a bigger one - our country as we continue to develop in a better and bigger direction, not everything will begin
