A Degree is not Enough

The degree shows the educational level of your school, but that is not evidence of your actual intellect. David Foster Wallace made a speech at Kenyon College in 2005. And we said that we all have default settings that allow us to recover from greatness. Acquiring a degree does not mean that you know how to think, it is half of your intelligence. From birth believe that the world will rotate around them, everyone is programmed in advance; they are the center of the universe. It is normal to have this self-centered view of the world; this is how everyone is thinking about thinking at birth.

It was the winter of 2007. I got a degree in physics from the University of Minnesota. All of these undeveloped degrees prove that you are smart enough to get a degree in physics and are foolish enough to get a degree in physics. I spent six years changing mainly two changes, one curve, but I did it - I confirmed that I do not want to be a physicist. After some half-hearted attempts to find "physical work", I did a sales job with Apple to pay the invoice, and I came up with my remaining life.

Not only did I get a degree today, it is not enough to get a so-called "good work" simply by acquiring my master's degree. But this is not a problem either. I did not think about this. The important thing is to pursue what I think is the best for me. They also want my best. So we have a common goal. I will tell them the benefits of my decision, but I will begin with questions first.

This is for people trying to get job hunting and you may be worried that without a CS degree from Stanford you can not get the best technical position. Someone told you that you are not enough to find a job on Microsoft and Facebook. But I am here to tell you that you can get a job. This is my way and I found the work I dreamed of on Twitter. One solution for me is that I made an email and used keywords in the list of my email headers. Then I added details to the article body to make it look more personal. I did a simple A / B test, and the responses I received increased considerably from about 2-3% to 10%.

Until I got a college degree, I was lucky enough to find a pretty good job. This is mainly due to my work experience at the university, not the degree itself (which can not be adopted much). My work was quite well paid, but initially my life was exactly the same as when they were in college - I shared my house with the other three people (as it was interesting). Companies' gambling employers on paper are not qualified. I am good at this job and I am working harder than most people. Because the company is small, this has not been overlooked, but I transferred to a supervisor before the end of the first year and increased salary by more than 20%.
