A Deaf Event Experience

In this semester I am reading beginner A.S.L. (American Sign Language) at the University of California and I like it very much. The atmosphere of the class is different from all my other classes, and its structure is what I really like. I am my first class on Monday, Wednesday, Friday I will not talk, I have to pay attention, otherwise I am really lost. This is the reason I like it. As I am a visual learner, this course and the language itself are simple.

One of the requirements for taking A.S.L is to hold an event for the deaf people for the previously approved hearing impaired community. Most of the other classes in my class and other universities joined the event on Friday in November. The event was held at Kenwood Town Center. It was a coincidence that we had dinner, so we were able to eat and socialize. We were asked to stay there for two hours, observe for one hour, and exchange for one hour. As this was a terrible event, I became sociable rather than observing, but it was said that some of the people participating in the meeting may not be able to talk like any other person It was. But I realized that two teenagers are easier. It uses signs we have not taught before. Because it is a late course or level, or it is considered "inappropriate" for some professors. I saw a group of people in a community communicating through a visual language, which is cool.

It takes a while for my classmates to feel comfortable. However, when we arrived at the place where the incident occurred, we had to sign and talk. This is a very interesting thing, we really do not know who is the student there and who you usually go there. It's really cool to watch and have fun. This is when the hearing impaired community is going out with friends while enjoying food as usual. Even if I do not speak, I know I did a lot of things, but I know some people. A woman from California has 11 brothers and sisters, and the boy we met is 17 or 18 years old and it is difficult to get a very tough college degree.

I strongly advise you if you take an A.S. L. or learn more about the interests of the hearing impaired community. This is not too difficult, but it is very beneficial. For the hearing impaired, there are two worlds, the world of hearing and the world. This is difficult to master until you enter the classroom and start studying various aspects.
