A Day in the Life of a Mental Health Counselor

It is an honor to be able to interview a senior therapist in the field of counseling after a long career. I am honored to attract experienced consultant Lea Keylon. I got a mental health consultant's license. Counselor is a mental health expert with psychology, counseling or master's degree in relevant fields (MA). To acquire a license, a specialized consultant also needs to cooperate with qualified mental health experts for two years after graduating from the graduate school. Mental health counselors are eligible to evaluate and treat psychological problems by providing counseling and psychotherapy. Clinical social worker Clinical social worker has at least a master's degree in social work and training to evaluate and treat mental illness. In addition to psychotherapy, social workers can also provide case management and discharge planning, as well as supporters for patients and their families.

The mental health counselor wears a lot of hats when working with customers who may encounter various crises everyday. When mental health consultants work with various clients throughout the career, they need to keep confidentiality and privacy when doing counseling on a one-for-one, group, or any kind. Like other medical patients, psychiatrists need to treat their clients with dignity and respect. This is very important for mental health consultants working with them.
