Fitzgerald wrote this novel in his own era, and it shows that his pain is getting worse about my era and my era. The combination of desperate attempts to achieve its imaginary goal through lifestyle of the upper class of the 1920s and wealth and power created the essence behind "Great Gatsby". Nick Callaway, a narrator, moved to an eccentric community called West Egg outside New York City, a distant cousin and former coworker Daisy and Tom living in a physically same area named East Egg across the bay.
