According to the American Heart Association, 23.9 million children between the ages of 2 and 19 are overweight or obese. There are also 154.7 million adults. This means over one-third of children in the United States and over two-thirds of adults are overweight (1 to 3 pages). Many Americans know our country has a high obesity rate. Mr. Michelle Obama and several other politicians and medical experts seek recognition of these facts. They think that too many citizens are overweight and need to change some things.
