This article introduces the concept of "cultural violence" and can be seen as follow-up of an introduction by the author of the concept of "structural violence" more than 20 years ago (Galtung, 1969). "Cultural violence" is defined here as any aspect of culture that can be used to legalize violence in a direct or structural manner. Symbolic violence built into the culture is not shaken or hurt like direct violence or structural violence. However, it is used to validate one or both of them. Use violent triangles and violent layered images to explore the relationship between direct, structural and cultural violence and various types of transient flows. An example of cultural violence shows that culture can be divided into religion and ideology, art and language, experience and formal science.

Galtung discussed the concept of violence in the first article of "Violence, Peace, Peace Studies" in 1969 and discussed the relationships and differences between direct / individual / subjective violence and indirect / structural / non-subjective violence I showed it. In his article "Cultural Violence" (Galtung, 1990) I defines "every aspect of culture can be used to legalize violence directly or in a structured way" (p .291). Pierre Bourdieu's article analyzes how symbolic violence affects gender relations by materializing the daily lives of agents. We can add that culture can play a legitimate role in strengthening symbolic violence. Although this is a kind of direct violence, it has a certain symbolic meaning to other parts of society and relations between men and women.
