Winslop and Edwards compared the apostles of Christ, but I found that John Winthrop and Jonathan Edwards are the most fascinating writers I've ever read. First of all, they are the "apostles" of our time. Secondly, they are too close to the apostles of Christ. There are three historical Christian milestones. After the death of Christ, the gospel movement of the disciples of Christ, friends, and brothers preached that Jesus Christ is a Messiah and a child of God.
In the analysis of Winthrop and Edwards, Jonathan Edwards and Puritans John Winthrop have a lot of functions in common with Puritans despite this, but these characteristics are expressed differently, but God's basic People who have lived well, understanding and hope for him, gods of generous life. These differences between the two individuals may be up to the situation, but it is worth exploring how they resemble Puritan's basic idea.
Edwards (awesome after Winslow) began to see the deterioration of many incentives behind the Puritans and religious immigrants, but his predecessor John Winslow became new colony Sometimes I came. As the newly formed Massachusetts bay colony and governor of famous religious and civilian figures, Winthrop is responsible for reminding the clean brethren why they came and what they are doing. For John Winthrop, the new community being built is a test as they can serve (or alert) as a model for a new religious community. Edwards is convinced of a very attractive elegance and natural deterioration, but Winthrop urged his people to do their best to comply with the standards God wants. He is based more on the tradition of contract theology as he believes that everyone has special responsibilities and roles to achieve.
John Winthrop's writing has laid the foundation for establishing a church as a Puritan. One of the main points written by John Winthrop is that Christians need to serve the Lord all their heart and increase the body of Christ. Increasing the body of Christ means that Puritans will influence the population of other people who trust Christ and grow Christian. The body of Christ means the community of followers of Christ, and the teachings written by Winthrop told Puritan that they need to be disciples of Christ. They need to be able to show Christ to other people. Winthrop stated that Christians are bound by the love of Christ and that this love can not be broken.
