Comparison of Sir Ted Hughes and Lord Tennyson's Eagle The two poems I compare and contrast are Ted Hughes's "Hawk Roosting" and Sir Tennyson's "The Eagle". They are all poems about birds of prey. I compare and contrast them through different features of poetry. These are the theme, development of ideas, language, tone, rhythm, rhythm, image, mood, atmosphere, and background. Write down my response to each poem.
The similarity between Sir Alfred, Tennyson and "Hawk Roosting" by Ted Hughes is much more prominent than the difference. There is a clear contradiction between these two poems. Eagle is a skilled killer and Eagle is preparing dinner only to kill when he has to do. The two masters in their fields live in a strictly monitored area, and two very similar birds are described by the author as opponents. Eagle is a relaxed, quiet leader on his kingdom. Poeties convey his "crooked hand" and he uses the words "ring" and "wrinkle" when explaining him, so he is an old leader. I also noticed that this is the biggest difference between the quality of leadership of each bird. "Eagle" leads with an example in silence. He just stood out and was waiting while observing. And the next prey invaded his territory.
Ted Hughes's poem "Hawk Roosting" reveals this only through the title. We know that this poem will become an eagle inhabiting. The word "habitat" here has two different meanings. We know that the first meaning is that the eag is settling down or sleeping, and the second meaning it controls whether it is responsible or not. This hypothesis was confirmed when reading a complete poem. The word of this poem seems to come from a skilled person as if there were many wisdom and knowledge in Eagle.
Ted Hughes used human poetry "Eagle" and "Jaguar" to express human behavior and confront human existence. The poem "Hawk Roosting" is a very interesting explanation of the atmosphere about the eagle world. Ted Hughes showed me an eagle in a violent and highly meditated manor. Eagles are described in a glorious and authoritative way, but it still has horrible explanations of primitive attacks, killings and power. In this poem, Hawk always thought he was a god, and everything was around him and looked up at him. This idea is a lot of behavioral conflicts and the existence of humans, and many people in the world have such views on many important aspects of the world. Like the image of Eagle, they and the world are just dictators of life.
