Death of Naturalist and excavation of Seamus Heaney compare the poet's "naturalistic death" and "excavation" with many similarities and contrasts. The theme repeatedly appearing in these two poems is the memory of childhood and the change of the life of the writer. There is a contrast to "the death of naturalism"; the author focuses on himself and his own life experience, not the experience of others. In "mining", the opposite is true. Because the authors focus on the lives of other people, that is, the events of his father and grandfather.

Seamus Heaney's "excavation" is the first poem of the first full volume of Heaney's poem, "the death of naturalism". "Death of a naturalist" is about the transition to adulthood and the process of losing innocence. This poem shows how Hynie looked at his father and grandfather, especially their diligence. Even if Heaney did not follow their footsteps but became a farm worker, he respected the work they did, especially the skills they dig. This poem is a free poetry. There are 8 sections and 2 caplets. Sometimes it rhymes, but there is no rhyming pattern. The first two lines are rhyming with "thumb" and "gun", and there are some rhyming words in the second quarter. This poem is the story of the first person, this can be seen in the first line using the word "my" and in other lines using words such as "I" or "us". As all three generations mentioned are digging, the title is related to poetry

Anahorish and Digging are two poems written by famous Irish poet Seamus Heaney from "Wintering Out" in 1972 and "Anthology" in 1966 "Death of Naturalism". Anahorish is the name of the school that Heaney attended (the English version of "anachgeeor uisce" in Irish means cold water), and Heaney visits his old school and go back to the past to unearth Heaney He was focused on expressing his admiration for his ancestors and how they tapped to survive and he declared that instead of their spades to delve into his Irish fellow's past I used his pen. The comparison between Anahorish and Diging is particularly different as I think that there are many features with Anahorish, such as land references, memories of poets, slow and reflexive words.
