Eastern Community Assessment and Windshield Survey According to Allender, Rector and Warner (2014), public health is a combination of art and science (2014). The mission of public health management is to promote health, prevent disease, and ultimately prolong life span (Allender et al., 2014). In order to achieve this, an evaluation has to be made. Aggregation or community evaluation begins with a series of data. This includes: regional health needs, risks, environmental conditions, financial resources provided through local census data, and windshield surveys (Allender et al., 2014).
A brief review of the three entities that required community assessment documented the importance of understanding ways to implement community health assessment. There are several materials outlining the ways to implement community health assessment (see the list of community assessment materials). Each resource that can be used for regional health assessment explains the process in various ways. Global processes are basically the same, but each resource may organize the details in various ways. However, each resource has the same final goal, an action plan to improve the health of the community. In general, most materials on how to implement community health assessment include three steps: gathering information, analyzing information, and reporting information. Some resources include steps such as building a team or steps based on collected information such as prioritization, creation of goals and targets, and planning.
Currently there is no normative process standardized for conducting regional health assessment. In this article, I will explain information on three entities that need to conduct regional health assessment and reviews of resources that fully focus on the plan. The Public Health Administration's Medical Research Institute in 2002 reports that the future of public health in the 21st century requires an examination to prove the benefits of the government's public health department 4. By accepting the public health department, it is thought that the quality and performance of public health infrastructure will improve. From 2004 onwards, studies including stakeholder meetings, exploration teams, reports, and beta tests will begin.
