A Capitol Fourth

As one of America's most famous and prolific composers, John Phillips Sosa wrote 135 parades and dozens of other works, including small operas, songs and suites. Several of his early performances in the US Navy band originally established Sosa as a pioneer of true music and was further recorded on a wax bath.

Retro recording of these Sousa's favorite works is still available in digital form through the preservation of institutions such as Congress libraries and the Smithsonian Institute. Surprisingly, John Philip Sousa 's American patriotic parade "Eternal Stars and Stripes" was not written after a great fight, but because Sousa and his wife came back from European holidays and wrote to the Ocean Liner I got it.

At the end of 1896, when Sousa manager David Blakely died suddenly, they appeared in the sea. The band plans to start a cross country tour soon, and Sousa knows that he must return to the United States soon to take over the business of the band. Sousa is talking about the rest of his autobiography "Marching Along".

"This is one of my career, the most dramatic event.The steaming vessel outside the harbor (the teuton), I paced the immersed deck into the thought of death of my manager, pacing, and waiting for me , John suddenly felt the rhythm of the band in his head when he was made in front of a new person, but through fierce voyages, the imaginary bands developed the same theme and the most unique I responded to the melody in response.When I was on a steamship, I did not send it to appreciate music on paper but when I arrived at the beach the brain band would play for me I made it.

On the Christmas Day of 1896, the parade soon succeeded and the Sousa band played it with almost every concert until Sousa died for over 25 years. In 1987 passed the US Congressional Law, became the official parade of the United States.
