A Brief Analysis of China´s Cultural Cooperation with Europe

One of the hot topics of today is cooperation with current Asian leaders and one of the future world powers. Europe and China have signed many agreements on culture, tourism and commerce over the past few years. China has more than 1,360 cultural exchanges every year. In recent years, many people from various countries (Vietnam, Venezuela, Brazil) are gathering to study the economic development model of China. In order to achieve these goals, the world charm of Chinese culture is rising.

Since 1979, the exchange between the two in culture, technology and education has become stronger. Both sides signed "Cultural Cooperation Agreement", "Educational Cooperation Agreement" and "Central America Relations". The Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement established a series of dialogue forums including the Joint Committee on Science and Technology Cooperation and China and the United States. Cultural Forum Chinese Secretary of State Liu Yandong and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton co-chaired the 3rd round CPE. This mechanism provides powerful guidelines and driving force for bilateral cultural exchanges and cultural exchanges. Both sides also launched a series of initiatives in the fields of education, science and technology, culture, sports, women and youth. The United States launched a "100,000 strong" initiative to bring 100,000 American students to study in China within four years.

In the past 40 years China's diplomatic relations with the United States, political regime, strategic interests and cultural traditions are different, but the two countries are still mostly cooperative. We can call China and the United States of this period "cooperative competitors". Economic participation, which is convenient for both sides, is an important basis for their ongoing cooperation. Because they are in different positions in the global value chain, their economic competition is less noticeable. There is a difference between geopolitics and ideology, but both are reasonable and practical. This relationship brought about significant benefits to both parties. In order to develop, China needs US cooperation to enter the US-led global free trade system and market, but the United States places great emphasis on business opportunities offered by the Chinese market.
