Josephine Baker's biography Josephine Baker was born in Freda Josephine MacDonald, St. Louis, Missouri, unmarried parents, Carrie McDonald and Eddie Carson. Her father soon left the family and Josephine had to help her mother support herself and her three younger half brothers and sisters. At the age of 8, she found a job as White House Maid (Robinson). When she was twelve years old, she quit school to go to work. By the age of 14, she moved and married, and broke up with her first husband. She later got married and divorced from the other three men.

After seeing the biography of Josephine Baker's movie, I was surprised at how she gained fame and wealth. I agreed that she had talent, but I admit she is very attractive to see her show off her barely covered body as a form of active entertainment I really did not know. Furthermore, her talent is not my expectation. I am looking forward to see elegant and swanlike movements, but what I see in the movies is a sharp and hard dance movement that implements the form of her entertainment and jumps to the stage. When she learned how to do ballet, there was a part in the movie, but she did not succeed as her toes bleed. In my opinion, this scene symbolizes her lack of elegance. In addition to my negative view of her so-called dance talent, I really like her scene connecting America's white soldier and American white soldier during her stay in Morocco. She is not only a dancer and a singer, but also a woman who is proud of her country.
