A baby 7 months old was born with a Double Outlet Right ventricle. He underwent surgery in one day after birth. He has a BT [Blalock-Taussig] shunt to help blood move through the body and reduce resistance to the pulmonary artery. He came home five days after surgery in May. Then on 29th September he was taken to Morton Meath Plant Hospital due to breathing difficulty and intense breathing difficulties. That day, he was transferred to all pediatric hospitals.

With medical advances, seven out of ten babies born with heart attacks, better diagnoses of hereditary disorders, and birth defects with congenital heart disease during adulthood survive. However, 7 million people in the UK suffer from cardiovascular disease and our research has not been completed.

Since the start of BHF, the number of deaths due to cardiovascular disease has declined by more than half each year, and today most of the babies born with severe heart disease survive until adulthood. We are doing our best to achieve our vision of a world where humans should not die prematurely, or that the world will not die of heart and cardiovascular diseases. BHF will continue to represent the cardiovascular research community as the government will form a future relationship between the UK and the EU in the next year's Brexit negotiations and the high level negotiations of the immigration white paper. We promise to ensure that our research continues to make incredible progress to save lives.

Congenital heart failure is a problem of the heart at birth. In most cases, it will be diagnosed before or after birth, and with the progress of therapy it has become possible to repair most defects. At Wolfson Children's Hospital, children with congenital heart disease use the latest technology for diagnosis and access to cutting-edge treatment. Children need care, equipment and procedures specially designed for their small body and small heart. Please be assured that everyone in the Terry Heart Center (doctors, nurses, engineers, other team members) can provide a cardiac treatment experience to save lives to children of all ages. Every year, a cardiovascular specialist at Wolfson Children is a state-of-the-art facility that provides congenital heart disease treatment and management, providing heart disease for over 8,000 children and adults.
