9/11 Photo Essay 9/11 The day of the event will be an unforgettable day for everyone. On that sad day, the four aircraft were hijacked and eventually crashed. Two of the airplanes hit each Twin Towers in New York City. After burning the building for about 20 minutes, they fell to the ground, millions of tons of debris were carried, and many workers died in the two towers. One of the planes that crashed inside the Pentagon also killed many innocent people.

On social media, photographs and tributes to the September 11 incident, especially anniversary of anniversary attacks, are everywhere. In commemoration of the 12th anniversary of last year's 9/11, Instagram's official blog reminded the user to find a large beam picture projected on the tower using the #tributeinlight tag.
