When I studied a new book, I came across some wonderful things. Just a few weeks ago, I found "gold" on the educational website. This is a document titled "Basic Principles of Secondary Education" created in 1918.
About a century ago, high school was a new idea. Several have begun, but there are no guidelines on them. The number of studio is decreasing, and the number of enrollment of high school which exists exists also increasing. Therefore, a committee is set up to set standards for new schools. In the process, the committee drafted 7 basic principles (or goals) for school young students.
3. Member worth returning - This principle requires the improvement of qualities to make individuals a precious family.
4. Occupation - Students need to understand themselves and their various professions so that they can choose the correct occupation. Then students will understand the relationship between career and community
5. Citizen education - Students should develop awareness and attention to their communities and their social and ethical development needs.
6. Value to spend leisure - Education should acquire students' skills to enrich their lives through music, art, theater, literature, social problems, entertainment.
7. Moral quality - This involves instilling students the concept of personal responsibility and the initiative in their ethics and behavior
Wow. I absolutely hope that children can attend high school to achieve and achieve these goals. Maybe we should have the right idea 90 years ago and should return to their foundation!
What is the goal of high school? What would you do if high school would let you go to a wonderful college or if you find a high salary job? What if the goal is to cultivate wisdom, virtue, and happiness in learning? What if your goal is to respect God and serve him and other people? What if we focused on learning to listen carefully and carefully in every situation other than high school while preparing for university and labor force? What kind of custom is necessary to succeed? Below are four important elements to succeed in high school.
The aim of leaving the exam is to ensure that students are prepared for efficient living, whether at university or workers, after high school graduation. High schools should set different "cut lines" for exit tests to distinguish between university preparation and basic proficiency. In order to improve career-oriented skills, like Ohio, we need students to choose to meet industry certification to meet some of the graduation requirements. Enlightenment of inflation in the graduation rate should not obscure progress in the standardized test scores in Washington, DC and other fields. However, even if you allow students to graduate without meeting the basic criteria, you just punish the students who achieved the results. The best way to regain the value of a high school diploma is to insist that all students have obtained a high school diploma.
