51 Ways to reduce plastic use or completely eliminate it!

You were waiting for a long list of ways to reduce the use of plastic. You may already know something, but I hope that many of these ideas are new and viable. Think about Pacific Garbage Patch whenever you buy water, buy a cup, or buy liquid detergent.

Note: Many of these suggestions are designed to reduce your garbage and reduce the use of plastic garbage bags.

3. Please bring your own reusable steel or ceramic drink container. If it is too high, please use a glass Mason jar. Heavy is cheap

4. Do not drink coffee or hot beverages. Your drink lid and cup will stay alive for over 100 years! Lid and lining are plastic. Bring your own thing or request a ceramic reusable cup

12. Take the cheese from the delicatessen and place it in your own container (glass or existing plastic container, do not waste existing ones!) Or wrap it in paper.

17. Please stop using deodorant and antiperspirant. It is unnatural to prevent you from sweating. If you want a good scent, please put the perfume in a glass bottle.

19. Keep all food in a glass container. If you buy something in a glass bottle, clean it up and reuse it!

31. Please do not use ziploc. If you need to keep things like onions (it always happens to us!) Use aluminum or wax paper

32. Use rags to clean the house rather than paper towels - reduce garbage and need garbage bags

A lighter that uses matches instead of plastic wraps. They are usually given to you for free at the hotel.

35. If you want a fun drink, you can grab a glass bottle of chocolate milk with a carton or apple juice. You can also ferment your own drinks with a glass Mason jar.

37. Enable to transport empty cartons and remove them from the car without using bags.

43. Buy a cloth diaper. Babies have many fine varieties. We use disposable diapers to fill super bowl size holes that will soak toxins in the environment for centuries.

45. Load large packages in place of foam wrapping paper or inflatable plastic using jam mail or other paper.

It is very important to invest in your own reusable bags and throw away the plastic altogether. This often eliminates or reduces the need for plastic bags at shops that take years to decompose plastic bags, often arriving at the sea or landfill. Canvas and bag are cheap, very wide and easy to carry. These types of bags are easy to clean and can be reused later. In many shops, people are encouraging people to bring their own luggage and offer discounts and rewards to those people.

The footprints of Miami Beach are California. And they took a big step in eliminating the use of plastics. As of November 2016, plastic bags are completely banned throughout California. Proposal 67 was passed and 52% of voters voted to prohibit the use of disposable plastic bags throughout the state. This is the first state in the 50 US states that took this bold step to reduce annual plastic output. Big Pacific Garbage Patch is increasing every day, with a lot of trash near the coast of California. Prohibiting the use of disposable plastic bags is an important step in reducing the number of plastic bags entering the ocean every day.

There are many nonprofit organizations that are working to reduce and eliminate marine plastic contamination in a variety of ways, including the Oceanographic Society, Plastic Pollution Alliance, 5 Gyres, Algalita, Plastic Soup Foundation. These organizations continue their important work by relying on donations from people like you. Small donations may be very different. Plastic contamination affects our water and marine life, our food chain and public health. The good news is that the global effort to reduce or eliminate the consumption of disposable plastics is gaining momentum.
