51 Ways to reduce plastic use or completely eliminate it!

You were waiting for a long list of ways to reduce the use of plastic. You may already know something, but I hope that many of these ideas are new and viable. Think about Pacific Garbage Patch whenever you buy water, buy a cup, or buy liquid detergent.

Note: Many of these suggestions are designed to reduce your garbage and reduce the use of plastic garbage bags.

35. If you want a fun drink, you can grab a glass bottle of chocolate milk with a carton or apple juice. You can also ferment your own drinks with a glass Mason jar.

37. Enable to transport empty cartons and remove them from the car without using bags.

43. Buy a cloth diaper. Babies have many fine varieties. We use disposable diapers to fill super bowl size holes that will soak toxins in the environment for centuries.

45. Load large packages in place of foam wrapping paper or inflatable plastic using jam mail or other paper.

It is very important to invest in your own reusable bags and throw away the plastic altogether. This often eliminates or reduces the need for plastic bags at shops that take years to decompose plastic bags, often arriving at the sea or landfill. Canvas and bag are cheap, very wide and easy to carry. These types of bags are easy to clean and can be reused later. In many shops, people are encouraging people to bring their own luggage and offer discounts and rewards to those people.

Proposal 67 was passed and 52% of voters voted to prohibit the use of disposable plastic bags throughout the state. Prohibiting the use of disposable plastic bags is an important step in reducing the number of plastic bags entering the ocean every day.

There are many nonprofit organizations that are working to reduce and eliminate marine plastic contamination in a variety of ways, including the Oceanographic Society, Plastic Pollution Alliance, 5 Gyres, Algalita, Plastic Soup Foundation. These organizations continue their important work by relying on donations from people like you. Small donations may be very different.
