Experience at college is more important than classroom. Unlimited participation opportunities are offered at university campus
Julie: Lindsay will tell you that she and my father encourage participation. This is the five reasons we encourage it.
1. It allows students to connect with schools: colleges are full of resources, but the students are responsible for finding them. Please participate in helping them do this
It helps them to build community: they join their families, sometimes even their friends, so joining them helps them to discover new friends with similar interests
It allows them to discover their passion and benefits: these will last forever. It allows them to discover what they do not like
4. This is the resume creator. It is not an early time to think about positioning yourself in the future.
Sometimes, a busy child does a better job in every way: Of course, there are many changes to the students, but more free time is not always comparable to a better grade. To participate, you need organizational and temporal management of the students - this is a good thing.
Lindsay: I heard about the importance of participation from teachers, teachers, counselors and parents from elementary school second grade. My high school activities helped encounter people who like the same, increased sense of responsibility, and won several wonderful university scholarships.
Finding what you like is as important as university as it is a high school. Since I started college a year ago, I participated in a campus tourism organization called Campus Television Station called my girls' student club, student ambassador. These are some of the most precious experiences I have ever had since I went to college.
But finding your place on campus is easier than done. Here are some of the best ways to learn what I've learned so far.
1. Utilizing school resources: In offices and online, most universities have a kind of participation center that lists each campus organization and provides information on how to participate. There is also a quiz to identify activities suitable for the field of interest.
2. Please try at least once: Open up your mind as you may not like all the organizations you think! When you are looking for groups to join, leave your comfort zone; these are the most rewarding experiences. You may think you do not like ballroom clubs or engineering societies, but one of the best things about university is to have the opportunity to try new things.
3. Please be aware that participation is an ongoing process. Participation in campuses should not be limited to permanent status or groups. We also pay attention to temporary activities such as service projects and campus event planning. Check if there are participatory or community service newsletters that you can subscribe to keep the latest opportunities current.
Based on the five reasons you joined the university and the way you participate in Julie Mayfield and Lindsey Mayfield, becoming a member of a student group can deepen your connection with the school and build a community and become larger than yourself . As a member of a student body, I learned to bring benefits to you in various ways. And I have not thought about it before. Since there are many ways to benefit from various aspects, I now understand that there are many ways to solve welfare-related problems. Furthermore, they say that free time does not necessarily mean better grades, as some of the student's body can help you plan your better time. After becoming a member of another group of high school, I was very organized, so I can see that this is true, and I managed to better manage my time It was. And when I am busy, it makes me happy, so I will do better.
Since I want to find a good job after graduating from college, I think most of you will go to college. This is not the only reason to go to college - it may not even be the best reason to go to college - but it is welcomed and worth talking about. If you are here because you want to find a good job when you leave, your university course seems to help you very easily. If you are planning to become an investment banker, you will receive accounting and finance courses, if you plan to become a doctor, you will receive biology and chemistry courses . Other courses apparently are irrelevant and seem to waste time. Biologists do not need to understand international economics, bankers do not need to understand biology. It seems there is no need to know Shakespeare, Plato, Napoleon. After all, in a job interview at Huntington Bank, you will not be asked about Macbeth.
