5 Reasons for Getting Involved in College—And How to Go About It

Lindsay: I heard about the importance of participation from teachers, teachers, counselors and parents from elementary school second grade. My high school activities helped encounter people who like the same, increased sense of responsibility, and won several wonderful university scholarships.

Finding what you like is as important as university as it is a high school. 2. Please try at least once: Open up your mind as you may not like all the organizations you think! When you are looking for groups to join, leave your comfort zone; these are the most rewarding experiences. You may think you do not like ballroom clubs or engineering societies, but one of the best things about university is to have the opportunity to try new things.

3. Please be aware that participation is an ongoing process. Participation in campuses should not be limited to permanent status or groups. We also pay attention to temporary activities such as service projects and campus event planning. Check if there are participatory or community service newsletters that you can subscribe to keep the latest opportunities current.
