This year, less than 1,800 volunteers gathered at 138 beach locations removed more than 88,880 garbage from our coastline from beach cleanup in Western Australia in 2016. Some of the more interesting discoveries found around the province include half canoes near the mouth of the Margaret River, sofas in the sand dunes of Layton Beach, and new self sticks picked up at faraway Deep Dean beaches. Black plastic resin pellets have found over 500 straws discovered during cleaning of the North Fremantle Beach and Jindali Beach in the Swan River. Most of the rope was found washed away along the farther coastline in the southwest, and many rope fragments and microplastic were scattered on the beach.
Coastal cleaning in Western Australia was awarded by the state NRM program of the Western Australian state government. The Tangaroa Blue Foundation also appreciates Australia's beautiful Australian Washington State, Washington State fishery, parks, wildlife sanctuaries, and all the wonderful volunteers who have continued to support this year's event.
The adoption program by the Great Lakes Alliance is a volunteer organization that clears the garbage on the beach of the Great Lakes. As a cleaning work, volunteers recorded data on what garbage was found. Each garbage is recorded in an online database and the data is edited for comparison every year. This information is very important when trying to identify problem areas and create solutions to improve the quality of lakes and beaches. According to the reports of the past five Great Lakes Ally, there were 2,298 volunteers in this organization, but according to recent statistics, in 2016, 15,000 people in 1,388 cleaning activities through Adopt-a-Beach program That attended. I cleaned up nearly 35,000 volunteers at Great Lakes Beach. This is equivalent to 1, 458 days, or 4 years. This is an amazing increase in the number of people who gave up on the Great Lakes' health time.
