2006 General Mclane Lancers Football and Basketball Teams

According to the head coach of the basketball team (Schulz), Andy Schulz, "I felt the whole country of Lancer with me that night." This is what he felt at night of the basketball state championship. In the 2006-07 season, McLean Lancaster's football team and the basketball team both talked about their history, won the state championship through game reviews, and talked about coaches and players showing their journey. General McLean Lancers' head coach is Jim Wells.

There are some important similarities between basketball and football. First of all, they are team sports. The basketball team consists of five players and the football team consists of eleven players. In either sport you can replace the athlete with a substitute athlete when injured or exhausted. Another similarity between them is that they are all using the ball, but these are not exactly the same. The ball is round and light, it is rather hard, made of synthetic material. It is usually black and white. By contrast, basketball is usually not that light, it is made of hard rubber. It is usually reddish brown
