This book covers all the basic and advanced functions Wireshark offers. Since Wireshark was a very complicated program since the early days, all features of Wireshark are not described in this book.

This book is not intended to explain general network sniffing or to provide detailed information on specific network protocols. A wealth of useful information on these topics can be found at https://wiki.wireshark.org/ on the Wireshark Wiki.

By reading this book you will learn how to install Wireshark, how to use the basic elements of the graphical user interface (such as menus), and, at first glance, some advanced features that are not necessarily obvious. It is expected to lead you through some of the common problems common to Wireshark's new (and sometimes even advanced) users.

"Clickable" means that the screens are connected to each other and can feel like an actual application. In addition, because they are browser-based, you can easily share prototypes generated through links. This feature is important in order to make the next verification procedure very easy.

Your introduction should address the following issues, but not necessarily in this order. It should take the form of a coherent article, not a series of answers to the question.
