Anti-Culture and Legend of 1960 After the assassination of President Kennedy, America's hope for Camelot gradually disappeared and life began to get more complicated. Congress believes President Linden Johnson 's "great society" is unbelievable as Congress helps President Johnson to enter into a war that is not ours. Later, when people began to notice that many Americans were unable to win the Vietnam War, the people strongly opposed the initial involvement in war in the history of the country.
Anti-culture emerged in the 1960s, modern environmental movement was born, civil rights movement was promoted. However, despite the slogan 'Allow love not war,' and 'Returning to land' more wars began and the development of the earth accelerated. Hippy gave up their bell bottoms and put on a suit for the company's life. On the other hand, the basic principle of entrepreneurial spirit is action. But we witnessed the enthusiasm of the generation to make the world better and lack such behavior. The biggest problem currently facing Impact Investment is that there is not enough social enterprise investment.
In Hippy culture, we are linking the American culture of the 1960s with the present. "The new generation of hippies" accepted the old idea of the 1960s and tried to counter it. Beth Sharp, "A New Era Hippie," fought these stereotypes because her former boss fired her because he thought his new hippie would not look right. "New age hippies" are working hard to build a closer relationship with their environment. I think this article is directly related to cross-cultural approach. It is a perfect example of how different cultures (New Age Hippies and more modern urban people) are tied together. This relationship is not so good between Sharp and her employer as Sharp comes from such a different culture. In a cross-cultural approach, we compare the observation of "New Age Hippy" and its social role with the "more American" business role.
Founder influenced by anti-culture in the 1960s advanced on a different path from the crazy world and had different views on the role and structure of the company. In this new view, it is believed that companies should promise to build a core set of beliefs and achieve a wide range of social goals. To some extent, this reviewed the company's view at the beginning of the 20th century, but puts a social mission at the forefront and center of the company's existence rather than a combination of good business and the reflection of the founder's philosophy.
