100 Volunteer Hours

One of the key elements claimed by the US State Department's sponsorship program is the volunteer spirit. Volunteer activities are always an important feature of the program even after the exchange even after the students have completed the course. At the end of the program year, the AFS staff will inform you of the deadline for submitting the Volunteer Hour Tracking Form. The tracking table usually expires in early May. The AFS staff contacts the student and the cluster coordinator before departure to judge whether the working hours are over and whether the certificate is qualified.

An award for the winner who won volunteer time of at least 100 hours at the local, state and national level. Only one winner of the FCA can win $ 1,000 and you can go to Washington DC with your parents to pay the full amount. There, 10 out of 50 winners have income of 5,000 dollars.
