In recent years, the rights movement of LGBT has gained momentum both domestically and internationally. Not only are people agreeing to gays' rights (especially gay marriage as indicated in a recent opinion poll) but also the deficiencies of arguments claimed by those opposed to these rights. This research paper discusses the 10 most common arguments (in particular the expression of identity and marriage law) raised by LGBT opponents, and outlines why everyone is prone to flaws and refutation.
Many of the LGBT communities rely on the argument that LGBT's rights are "collectively", based on the idea that sexual orientation and sexual identity are unrelated to congenital, invariance or choice. The two authors (TP and ES) previously solved the difficulty of using the "born road" argument for sexual orientation. We are now expanding this criticism to discussing the rights of transgender. The argument of "born in this way" depends on unstable science and imperfect logic and can not provide a solid foundation for transgender rights. We found a stronger foundation in discussions based on human rights.
Along with the development of LGBT rights in Australia, religious opponents increasingly use religious freedom claims to prove that they keep discriminating people of LGBT based on their personal beliefs doing. Religious people who support the rights of LGBTI become more visible in the media and the first religious equality forum was held in 2016. In 2017, more than 500 religious leaders in Australia wrote an open letter to the Australian government to support marriage. Homosexual couples say, "As a believer, understanding that marriage is based on the values of love and devotion, it supports the equality of citizens' marriage, but for our beliefs and values There is none".
Looking at this case from a historical point of view, all discussions on equality will be faint and ineffective. A few years later, why do people oppose equal marriage and homosexual rights, and why do they oppose women's rights (I think that struggle for women's rights is not perfect, but this is another story ). As a human being, we will be more compassionate to the needs and needs of others, and if they receive less than what is appropriate for us, we will support them. If it is not due to obvious humanitarian reason - it is for pure self-interest.
