In the Renaissance era, only Europeans were unable to achieve a wonderful career. We can not deny the beauty of Michelangelo's brush and the shine of Shakespeare's poetry. However, the society of other places is also prosperous. When the modern world reaches 1600 years, it seems there is a unique "Renaissance" in every corner of the earth. Native American society in North America is no exception. Like in Europe they have different cultures and languages
When the United Kingdom condemns their claim on the east coast of modern America, they can not imagine the complexity of the people they are about to encounter.
There are 140 to 160 different American Indian tribes. There is no native American language. Eastern Mohawk Indians talk as hard as the western Zuni Indians and Germans speak with Turks.
Prior to Europeans arriving in North America, indigenous people lived in all regions. This map shows native American tribes, cultural areas, linguistic shares
Twenty-seven states are named from Indian languages. Native Americans turn wild plants such as corn, potatoes, pumpkins, yams and lima be crops for human consumption. More than half of contemporary American agricultural products were cultivated by indigenous Americans before British colonial rule.
Medicine in the Western Hemisphere is not an unknown science. Most of the natural herbs used as medicines in the modern world were also used by Native Americans before being exposed to Europe. Archeologists learned that the North American Indians made salt from evaporation and mined many minerals including copper, lead and coal.
Despite the opposite myth, not all Indians are peaceful. As in Europe, the Americas face tribal warfare, sometimes leading to destruction of humanity and culture.
In a nutshell, there is no simple way to tell the story of the continent that has been owned by different communities for thousands of years. Their story is as complex as others, their culture is rich and their knowledge is profound. British contact does not mean replacing the existing culture with a better lifestyle but rather the beginning of a new civilization based on the integration of different folk customs.
Three groups of Anasazi, Iroquois and Algonquin were examined to begin to understand the American world.
How do European explorers respond to Native American languages, clothing, customs, residences, foods?
Why is it that European explorers in the 15th and 16th century understand the diversity of indigenous peoples living in the United States?
How do historians and archeologists know the experience of explorers? How do they know the experience of Native American?
Before exploring the era of Europe, do you want to know which aspect of the United States? How do you know about it?
When British immigrants landed in North America for the first time, they diverted land from Native Americans. British and American colonial rule killed countless native Americans and was forced to migrate. Several Native American stereotypes are still in fashion. Many television programs and movies continue to portray native american in a negative or stereotypical way, perpetuating false images and romantic images. Historical textbooks discussing the discovery of European Americans often reveal the bias of Eurocentricism which ignores the history of Native American. Books and videos that benefit from the use of native American culture and spiritual traditions. Some spiritual leaders in the "new era" have made this mistake, and many Native Americans think this is wrong (Almeida, 1996, p.4)
A more terrifying and less well-known aspect of American European colonization is the destruction of many indigenous societies and cultures. As white people feel that Native Americans are in 'their' lands, America tries to assimilate White American to Native American. Native Americans are forced to become a new American citizen. Today, to some extent, this influence on massive destruction of American Indians can still be felt.
In North America, colonialism was the beginning of America. Beginning with the British colonization of the United States, people tried to dominate and take over the land occupied by Native Americans. Europeans took over the land and challenged to turn it into a complete crowd. The American Revolution was also caused for this reason. Because the British royal family dominated what could enter and leave the American port, the American revolution was a people rebellion. After colonial rule, Americans resisted Britain in many ways because they wanted their economic stability and ability to become their own country.
