"The opportunity to serve my country again"

Building a house on the sanctuary as an experienced veteran of the Vietnam War is a very emotional and healing experience, and one day we will provide a safe, neat and affordable home for families in need.

Two years ago, I applied for a member of AmeriCorps VISTA at the request of Dallas' Habitat for Humanity. I was there for 9 years volunteering as a staff member who knew that I traveled to Vietnam asked me to sign up to plan veterans and their families.

The truth is that AmeriCorps gives me the opportunity to serve my country again. I am very pleased to be a part of the habitat of the Dallas area. They can help to help those who need it.

The military has always emphasized the importance of service and the importance of helping your partner surpass the military service. Once a soldier leaves the army, they are often confused as they no longer have systematized services. AmeriCorps offers veteran service new ways of service, new team, new mission

Time magazine recently announced a cover story on the benefits of public services for veterans. I know from experience that these benefits are true.

I always liked the Habitat 's work' s work. It was an amazing feeling to see the house from the concrete slab to the frame within 8 hours. On the way home at the end of the day there are several things that are quite satisfactory. Because you did something you have never done before.

A number of discussions have recently been made on the establishment of a large scale national service plan - voluntary military civil servant service plan. In fact, this week the retired Army General Stanley McCrystal is scheduled to hold a summit as part of the Aspen Institute Franklin Project. This is not very unique, but it is an exciting idea, but it is a better way to connect the countries with other countries.

This year there are 80,000 AmeriCorps services like me, and everyone is working hard to make our world better. But if you can experience the feeling that more Americans are more important than you, knowing that they are changing American living, this will be a larger place.

I am proud of my heritage and I am proud that I got the opportunity to serve as Assistant Secretary of the Western Hemisphere for the US ambassador of my country and El Salvador. These achievements are not merely my own accomplishments - they are the achievements of all Hispanic communities. Through my career, I put these ideas into practice. As a young lawyer I encountered sex and race-related barriers and tried to overcome it. While I was in my career, I would like to share the lessons I learned with the next generation Hispanic leaders, when I worked at the Hispanic National Bar Association, the DC Judiciary Nomination Committee, and later at the White House I promised. Creating opportunities for others, especially from the Hispanic community, is one of my most important professional achievements.

Two years ago, when I accepted the opportunity to serve the state within the US government as part of 18 F (Digital Consulting Company within General Service Administration), I had the self-evident expectation. Since my two-year term has ended, since I leave the government, I have rethinked how my experience was done, failed to meet these expectations, and to new things to do next I received expectations. Before I started, all the news I read about 18 F and American Digital Services and the President's Innovation Researcher showed that they are members of the Silicon Valley Mensa and have a famous technology company line . They suddenly solved the problem with the government and saved the confused public officials from the Byzantine coach and bureaucracy and poor technology.

I am very pleased that I was born in America. And I am proud that I got the opportunity to serve my country during the war. In my opinion there is nothing beyond making some of our countries a brave and brightest soldier. I appreciate being able to serve for a while for the fact that the men and women of the army are respected and respected in the history of our country. I am very grateful for the unconditional support to my loving family. I am very grateful for this experience. I am very grateful to my friend. I appreciate random handshake, occasionally free beer. I feel very active, I am forever grateful that I paid the greatest sacrifice for my brothers. I am very grateful for my healthy mind and body.
