"The Future of" Studies

Future research as part of the evolution of the curriculum is not just about trying to predict the future. Future research will help judge social conditions such as technology, society and aesthetics. This "worldview" can be compared with other potential "worldview" through a series of intelligent filters. Of course, future research has predictions. Trend analysis, survey, statistical analysis, operational research, system research are only some of the techniques available to Futurists. In fact, all three major research departments (experimental, descriptive, historical) are used in a process called "the future".

A new field of social research was born for the purpose of systematically studying the future. It is sometimes called futures research, futures, futures research, future science, forecasting and prediction, and its practitioner is called the Futuristic (Bell 1997). The basic principle is that there is not only a future, but we are now faced with the need to consider different future. Futures Research (FS) accepts uncertainty as an essential part of reality and finds ways to deal with the future as an active protagonist of that change. This insightful futuristic purpose is to discover, invent, present, investigate, and evaluate possible, possible and desirable future. Another purpose of exploring the future is to evaluate the plan or decide how to do them and determine those possible outcomes or results.

Futures research is a systematic study of possibilities, possibilities, and desirable futures, including the worldview and myths that make up the future. Over the past 50 years, future research has shifted to mapping alternative future from future predictions to shape expected future in both external group level and internal personal level (Masini 1993; Bell 1996; Amara 1981 ; Sardar). 1999; Inayatullah 2000; Saul 2001). Meanwhile, future research has shifted to a hierarchical approach that the future is actually shaped by the way people perceive the world as it focuses on the external, objective world ( Inayatullah 2002). In this important future approach after the structure has changed, it is essential that the outside world is intrinsic and the inner world is known by external reality.
