‘That stain of bloodshed’: After King’s assassination, RFK calmed an angry crowd with an unforgettable speech

When the darkness was held on April 4, 1968, Robert Kennedy, a newly announced presidential candidate, stepped on a microphone on a poor black neighborhood Indianapolis's flatbed track.

After just a few months since Martin Luther King was assassinated, when I graduated from California elementary school and stayed at the Los Angeles Ambassador Hotel, RFK became a Democratic presidential candidate. After speaking in a crowded room, the RFK was shot three times and died one day later. He is 42 years old. Robert F. On Indianapolis on April 4, 1968, he published a speech about Martin Luther King's assassination (Speech B, abbreviated SB) and RFK is heading for most Black Americans in Indianapolis . Even though they could not hear the official news about the assassination they were fired. Some of them are armed and violent. Police representatives advised Robert Kennedy not to go there as mob mobility occurred, they could not protect him.

After leaving the ball state stage, Kennedy boarded the plane on Indianapolis. When he arrived in Indianapolis he was told that the king was assassinated. Later that night, Kennedy announced a speech on the assassination of the king gathered on the 17th and a political rally in Slovakia, Broadway, the African-American community near Northern Indianapolis. He tried to comfort the crowd by seeking peace and compassion. After attending the funeral of King Georgia kennedy returned Kennedy to his main attention.
