Regardless of whether you like it or not, you are related to energy. How does it work for you? What will your friend do for you - bringing you to a given place, showing you something - or how much is your friend Jules doing maintenance? Here, I am gathering stories about Jules. This is a friend everyone knows but never the same.

Does the novel help us re-imagine our world? My friend Jules is an experiment of creative ideas. By contributing your story about Jules, you will help build a more dimensional understanding of the complex relationship between our society and energy. In commemoration of an imaginative story like you, we are asking for works inspired by the story of British artist Vicky Long.

I told you, almost everyone in the world is a friend of the same person. Obviously, it is not an ordinary person. Jules embodies the role energy plays in your life. If you jump to Kathmandu, Jules will take you there. If you work at a nuclear power plant, Jules gets your job. If your heating (or cooling) invoice breaks you, Jules does the same. After all, he / she is your special friend.

Personalize the relationship with energy (electricity, fuel etc you got from the power plant). In your story, "Jules" can take the form you like. What do you think about him / her? How does your relationship with Jules evolve over time? What is your future together?

Please send your story to yourstory@myfriendjules.org. (You can post an article on social media and send a link to me via email.)

The My Friend Jules project explores the new ways we think about energy and shares our views. That, in the end, recognizes that our decision on common resources like energy is also dependent on human factors and science. By providing your own story about Jules, you are helping us all to build a more dimensional understanding of the complex relationship between our society and energy.

By submitting materials to our project, you will be given permission to change the story to publish the material.
