The Church of St Mary is in an eternal worship for 12 years. We currently need volunteers to fill the time frame to maintain this service. Weekly worship begins at 6 PM Monday and lasts until 8 AM on Thursday. If you are interested in helping with this important work please contact the parish

From the 1960s to the 1970s, the northern tip experienced a declining population. In the meantime, many neighborhood shops were closed, St Mary's Catholic School and St Mary's Catholic Church were closed, and the seaside industry moved and broke up. From the 1970s to the 1980s, the Boston Redevelopment Authority approved high-density housing projects in neighboring areas, but residents of the northern area promised to build affordable housing for the elderly. One of the projects, Casa Maria Apartments, is located on the premises of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
The colonial city, St Mary was originally invented by George Calvert, a British husband who was a Roman Catholic when the British Catholic Church was subjected to religious persecution. Due to personal struggle and the desire to benefit from having a colony in the New World, he imagined a new colony that all believers could live freely, tolerant and safe.
